Top 5 Ways to be Late for Class!

No, this is not me encouraging others to be late for class. I'm simply sharing what has happened to me one or two... or ten times.

#1: Set your alarm clock for your 9:30 am class to 8 PM instead of 8 AM. How this happened, I really have no idea, but you can imagine the look of embarrassment (even though there was no one around) on my face when I hopped out of the bed at 10 to see why alarm clock didn't wake me up.

#2: Stay up until 5 AM watching countless YouTube videos because that's so much more interesting than getting sleep.

#3: Wake up because of a freakin' fire alarm and have to stand outside for an hour and a half. Trust me, worst thing ever. Fire alarms = unpleasant me.

#4: Stand in the bathroom for way too long because you can't decide on which moisturizer you want to use in your hair or whether or not it's a "bun day".

#5: Go to The Commons ( The Cafe) to eat breakfast, which by the way is actually really good, you think you have time to actually enjoy the food and take your sweet time eating.

Dormitory Confinement.

Despite the dramatic title of this post, I'm here to tell you that the "dorm life" isn't all that bad. Well, it's not completely bad. Compared to other colleges, and this is based on what I've heard from my friends, my dorm is a paradise. While it may be lacking when it comes to size, it's quite comfortable and nice to live in.

I could go without the lumpy, twin sized, four feet off the ground bed though. Getting into my bed has never been such a difficult task until now. That might be because I'm only a mere five feet tall, but still. Enough about my short stature, back to the topic at hand.

Living in a dorm was somewhat hard to get used to: sharing a bathroom with someone you just met, waking up at different hours for fire drills, having to be conscious of how much noise you make at a certain time of night, people living above you that obviously aren't considerate of the fact that people live below them. If you can't tell, the last part of that list is what absolutely drives me insane. That and the fire drills. Yes, people here pop bags of popcorn at six and the morning and burn Easy Mac. That's right, I said it, Easy Mac. How does that even happen? The world may never know. Obviously they lack basic cooking skills... I digress though.

All in all living in a dorm isn't the most amazing thing ever, but it's not all that bad. I guess it's just another part of the college experience. Ya know?
